HYPNOCRAFT is the moniker for the curatorial, programming and production work of Rachael Pazdan. Established as a home for her independent projects, HYPNOCRAFT has grown into a platform for connecting artists to a broader network, presenting and nurturing the growth of new projects and bands, and producing challenging and unique performances for curious audiences. The work she produces evolves from a fascination with collaboration, especially interdisciplinary work that challenges artists to create under unusual circumstances. She also finds inspiration in creating unique performances that provide space for audiences to explore new artists, disciplines and ideas. HYPNOCRAFT acted as the talent buyer for now defunct music venue The Manhattan Inn from 2015-2016.
In 2015 she founded the critically acclaimed music series The Hum. The series is a unique all-female, collaborative residency which unites musicians who have never worked together before for collaborations. Since its inception, The Hum has been produced over three years for five seasons, and has provided a creative platform for over 200 female identifying musicians.
Pazdan currently holds the position of Music Director at (le) Poisson Rouge in New York City.
